Take ordinary grilled chicken to the next level with a tasty balsamic marinade made from simple ingredients! All you need is a few pantry staples to make this tender Balsamic Grilled Chicken that’s perfect for summer barbecues. Serve it over a seasonal salad, with grilled veggies or even Air Fryer Mexican Street Corn for the ultimate healthy picnic meal!
Who knew that you could create the perfect grilled chicken marinade recipe with just a handful of healthy staples? Simply combine two tablespoons of olive oil, three tablespoons of balsamic vinegar, one tablespoon of Italian seasoning, three minced garlic cloves and a half-teaspoon of black pepper in a zip-top bag.
Add a pound of chicken to the zip-top bag and let it marinate in the fridge for at least two hours (or up to 12 hours). When you’re ready to get grilling, preheat your grill to medium-high heat and spray the grates with a nonstick cooking spray. Cook the Balsamic Grilled Chicken for five to eight minutes per side, until it is fully cooked. Let it sit for five to 10 minutes before you dig in.
Pro Tip: We love this marinade with chicken, but it would be just as delicious with steak or seafood! You can feel free to tweak it to your taste buds. Try it with your favorite spices and herbs or swap out the olive oil with avocado oil. You can even use another type of vinegar for a different flavor profile, such as apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar.
